--- important notice: please be aware that this website will closed for content and database updates from the 21st december 2010, reopening on the 4th january 2011. -- this website has been created by the british chambers of commerce to provide online . before attending a final assessment course a candidate must first complete the appropriate qualification assessment set for the course. the information you need to learn is split into chapters and each has an assessment that can be worked through and discussed with your mentor, once your mentor is happy that you understand the procedures, you should then complete the qualificaton assessment (51 questions) which are submitted for assessment to see if you are ready to attend the final assessment course. as you complete each question you will be asked to save and once you have saved the last question a submit button will appear which submits your answers for marking by an assessor. the course manager, maggie chilton, (pictured left) co-ordinates your training and ensures that you have all of the support you need to qualify for the courses. she is responsible for making sure that you receive a certificate at the end of the course to authorise you to issue certificates of origin. it is important that the required standard is reached and maintained so that all certification documents are issued correctly. once you have passed the certification final assessment course you will be required to attend a certification refresher course every 2 years. you will have access to the same course content for the certification refresher course but will not be required to complete a qualification assessment. you may also be required to attend an eur1 training course before you can stamp eur1s and a.trs. details and dates of these courses are on the course booking page. your mentor can book you onto these courses. from 2007, all refresher courses will contain refreshment on certificates of origin, eur1s and a.trs. for mentor's instructions on how to book delegates onto courses, see below: how to book delegates onto an assessment, refresher or eur1 course : mentors: log in with username and password -go to the mentor tab at top of page and then down to ‘course bookings’ - select an appropriate date from the list of courses click on ‘click here to book a candidate onto this course’ - and put a tick next to the delegate you are booking on and then click click here to save the booking . if the booking is for a new member of staff, click on ‘click here to add a new contact’ - fill in all details, including username and password. tip: username : is their full name with a space in between.- password : set as their surname but if there are two candidates to prevent them working together i would suggest you make up one for each but don’t let them know each others. (we can tell if they collude and it doesn’t help them in the final assessment). delegates are prompted to change their password when they login for the first time . - inform delegate of their username and password . - don't change the usertype from browser , the system automatically changes them to candidate when you book them onto the course. - once delegates have been created and saved then you put a tick in the box to the right of their name and click on click here to save bookings above the tick box. your new delegate/s have now been booked to attend the course and can start to work through the chapters. you should not confirm their attendance until contacted by the course manager a month before the course. once you have agreed that your delegate has grasped the basics of certification work, you should instruct them to complete the qualification assessment (51 questions) and when they are happy with these, they should just submit them, mentors should not go through the answers to the qualification assessment questions, these are designed so that the assessor can judge whether the candidate should attend the assessment course. please click here or select introduction from the left hand-side menu to get more details on the training process, working with your mentor and attending the course. home | login | contact | links | help
